Regional Oceanography of Taiwan（Third Edition）

This textbook is based on abundant marine exploration data from the waters around Taiwan during the past four decades. It is compiled from major oceanographic findings over the years, converts those complicated scientific studies into specific graphics with concise descriptions, and introduces the updated research results and developments of oceanography in Taiwan. As a practical introduction to beginners, this book aims to bridge the gap between the oceanography and popular science from previous magnificent works of scholarship, and further opens up new horizons for marine studies. The authors hope this book could be holistically informative to enhance earth science teachers’ understanding of Taiwan’s marine environment. Meanwhile, used as an educational material for students and the general public to raise their marine environmental awareness, it also positively encourages people in Taiwan to promote citizen literacy of a maritime nation.
